Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

As mayors of Canada’s largest urban centres from across the country have formed a movement to ensure the health of cities, youth must do the same. Many cities throughout Canada have realized the importance of engaging youth while planning municipal initiatives through the creation of Youth Cabinets/Councils but there has yet to be significant partnerships between such bodies in a pan-Canada framework.

Allowing youth to converge in one city for the purpose of sharing their experiences, building capacity, learning from various models of governance, developing pan-Canada initiatives and organizing a youth lobby similar to that of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities will permit young people to assert their voices in public policy as never before.

Concept

This site is dedicated to collaboratively creating a policy document based on the first Pan-Canadian Conference held from June 2-4, 2006 in Toronto. It also aims to initiate a discussion on post-conference strategies.

It is definately a "work in progress" and depends entirely on your efforts to become a success. So, please, feel free to click the EasyEdit button and add your thoughts. If you would like to ask a question or discuss an issue, scroll down to the bottom and click on the Post a new comment link.
